nib Stadium turns 1!

nib Stadium today celebrates the first anniversary of its successful relationship with its naming rights partner nib health funds.

It has been a busy 12 months at nib Stadium, which has hosted monumental sporting matches, broken attendance records and delivered some of the most memorable concerts Perth has seen.

Some stand out moments in the past twelve months for nib Stadium include:

- Major rebranding of nib Stadium;
- Confirmation from the WA Government for an $88 million stadium upgrade;
- Engaging season from the Emirates Western Force with sell-out crowds;
- International football star Robbie Fowler take to the pitch representing Perth Glory;
- A record breaking NRL fixture between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Brisbane Broncos;
- Five major international concerts including the Eagles which broke a record attendance for a seated event at nib Stadium;
- Over 320,000 people walked through the heritage listed gates for events at nib Stadium.

nib health funds saw the value of the stadium in the WA community and have been keenly involved to ensure that nib Stadium continued to facilitate truly community occasions and exciting events.

nib’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Fitzgibbon said the naming rights deal was nib’s first major sponsorship in Western Australia and has helped the health fund cement its place as a permanent fixture in the state.

“nib Stadium has an played a important role in delivering significant brand awareness for nib in what is a relatively new market for the health fund. It has also reinforced our commitment to the region through the support of this important community asset,” Mr Fitzgibbon said.
