Let the nib Stadium Season Begin!

Today nib Stadium celebrates the launch of the 2010/2011 season which will see fifteen Perth Glory A-League matches, eight Emirates Western Force Super 15 Rugby games and a South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL game. Not to mention Leonard Cohen, who performs at nib Stadium on Wednesday 24 November, Jack Johnson on Saturday 4 December and the Eagles which will no doubt be a killer show on Friday 10 December.

nib Stadium’s official Season launch will take place tonight to celebrate the upcoming season and will include special appearances from Perth Glory, Emirates Western Force and NRL players including dual international Wendell Sailor.

Wendell Sailor is in town to not only join the nib Stadium party but also launch the proposed NRL trial match to take place at nib Stadium in 2011. Perth Glory great Andy Todd, will be there to represent his team mates and talk up Friday’s season starter match against North Queensland Fury. Tom Hockings and Mark Bartholomeuz from Emirates Western Force will be giving insight into what to expect from the Force when they take to the pitch in early 2011.

nib Stadium CEO Peter Bauchop today said, “We are so excited about the upcoming season and are pleased to kick it off with a bang tonight along with the teams and other special guests. This season we are definitely going to see some high level sporting matches and are looking forward to hosting some of the most amazing artists in the world.”
