nib Stadium is very excited to welcome music rock legends, The Eagles to Perth on Friday 10th December 2010.

The Eagles - Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit – are returning to our shores in December 2010 for concerts in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne.

In 2004, the Eagles undertook a mammoth sold-out tour that delivered hit laden concerts that had fans on their feet begging for more. The American ensemble’s last visit was a phenomenal success and testimony to their immense popularity as fans flocked to the shows, selling out multiple arena venues many times over, including five tour dates at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena which were filmed for the hugely successful DVD release, Farewell 1 Tour – Live from Melbourne.

“Over three hours, and as many encores, there were few surprises. Nor did we want any. This was the most comfortable form of rock - pure, unadulterated nostalgia. And it felt pretty good.” – The Age

Often hailed as one of the greatest bands of the century through hits such as ‘Hotel California’ and ‘Lyin Eyes’, the Eagles’ Their Greatest Hits 71-75 is the best-selling album of all time in the U.S., holding the highest certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) of 29 times platinum.

The 2007 release Long Road Out of Eden soared to number 1 on the ARIA charts and certified gold after merely one week – an impressive achievement in itself which was magnified by the fact that the band had taken a 28 year recording hiatus. To date, no other band has been able to achieve this degree of longevity and remarkable international sales.

The Eagles have enjoyed further accolades in the form of multiple GRAMMY® Awards and secured a position in the revered Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, their first year of eligibility.

“The elements that made the Eagles America’s biggest band – hooky, articulate songcraft, impeccable lead vocals and stunningly tight harmonies – have certainly not atrophied over the long hiatus.” – Uncut.co.uk

The Eagles will again be performing hit after hit for more than three hours in an epic showcase of their work that is sure to blow audiences away.

As with their incredible tour six years ago, the focus will be on optimizing the sound quality of their live performances. Classic production, teamed with optimum acoustics, will provide the perfect environment for the rockers to take the stage.
