nib Stadium

Formally known as Perth Oval nib Stadium was originally built in 1910. In 2003 a $11.4 million dollar major redevelopment was commissioned and funded by the State and Local Governments, which saw Perth Oval configured into a rectangular stadium in 2004. In 2010 the Department of Sport and Recreation prepared a master plan to develop Perth Oval into a permanent 25,000 seat stadium and as a result additional temporary scaffold seating at the east end, corporate boxes and a large marquee was erected. Cabinet approved $95.1 million for Stage One of the Perth Rectangular Stadium Redevelopment. For more information on the history of nib Stadium click here.
