2011 NRL Finalists the St George Illawarra Dragons and the North Queensland Cowboys will clash in an important Rugby League trial match at nib Stadium on Saturday night, 11th February 2012.
The NRL pre-season trial match will be the highlight of a six-day camp for the Cowboys in Western Australia and will be a key feature in both team’s preparations for the 2012 NRL season.
Both clubs are set to bring full strength squads to Perth including some of Rugby League's biggest State of Origin and International stars such as the Dragon’s Jamie Soward, Matt Creagh, Matt Cooper, Beau Scott, Jason Nightingale, Ben Hornby, Dean Young, Matt Fien and Brett Morris; And North Queensland Cowboys’ Johnathon Thurston, Matt Scott, Matt Bowen, Brent Tate, Kalifa Faifai Loa and Dallas Johnson.
The curtain raiser to the big match will see the WA Reds Under 18 SG Ball team open their season against the visiting North Sydney Bears.
